Hospitality Management is Hiring a Front Desk Associate Near Newburgh, NY

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented Front Desk Agent to join our team. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and play a crucial role in ensuring their stay is a memorable one. You will work closely with our dedicated hotel staff to deliver superior customer care, provide assistance, and create a positive guest experience from check-in to check-out.

Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Register guests and assign rooms, accommodating special requests when possible
- Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions
- Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member
- Assist guests with inquiries, complaints, and requests, ensuring their satisfaction
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations
- Coordinate room status updates with the housekeeping department, including check-outs, late check-outs, early check-ins, special requests, and part-day rooms.
- Work with the engineering and maintenance division to address guest room maintenance needs.
- Utilize persuasive selling techniques to promote room bookings and other hotel services.
- Stay informed about daily activities and meetings within the hotel.
- Report any unusual occurrences or guest requests to the manager or assistant manager.
- Resolve guest complaints professionally and courteously.
- Maintain guests' privacy and confidentiality.
- Uphold a high level of professional appearance and demeanor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience:
- Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred
- Familiarity with phone systems and phone etiquette is a plus
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with guests
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
